Tarshia Boutte, an instructor at ExecuTrain Houston, was featured on Channel 2 news yesterday evening (October 7) and hosted an online live chat with users to discuss breast cancer awareness in celebration of breast cancer awareness month. ExecuTrain Houston helped to sponsor an upcoming fundraising event that Tarshia and her teammates are putting together - The 2nd annual Punk Rubber Duck Regatta. Tarshia is on a dragon boat team called The Pink Phurree Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team. Their team is hosting a fundraiser to raise money to purchase their own dragon boat. ExecuTrain of Houston helped to sponsor by donating a prize for their raffle. Here is some general information on the event.
The Pink Phurree (pronounced “fury”) Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team is Texas’ 1st year-round bcs dragon boat team. A dragon boat is a 40′ Teflon coated wooden canoe with 20 paddlers, a steers person, and a drummer. The Pink Phurree participates in two big regattas in the Houston-area (they have travelled as far as Windsor Canada to race) and the next one is October 17-18 at the Fluor Daniels complex in Sugar Land, Texas. The regatta is part of the International Dragon Boat Festival and is FREE to spectators, but you also can still register a team to compete. Just contact Texas Dragon Boat Association if you are interested in paddling.
Pink Phurree is hosting their 2nd Pink Rubber Duck Regatta on Sunday Oct 18th at around 12 noon. The Pink Rubber Duck Regatta is a fundraiser to help purchase their very own pink dragon boat so that they can reach more breast cancer survivors in the Great Houston Area and beyond to adopt the very therapeutic sport of dragon boating. The dragon boat, which takes about 4 months to construct and then shipped from Asia to the Pacific Northwest US to Houston, costs about $15,000 with trailer. So ANY assistance is greatly appreciated.
Your help is needed in a number of ways:

One of the biggest changes in Microsoft® Office 2007 is the addition of the Office Ribbon which includes the Office Button, Quick Access Toolbar, and Tabs. The Tabs replace the Menus and Toolbars with a graphical representation of the available options within the application. The options are grouped based on common actions and page elements, allowing you to apply the options to your document, spreadsheet or presentation rapidly.
The Tabs available change depending on the application in which you are working and the type of element you are working with. For example, if you select a photo or graphic within your document, the Picture tab displays. When you click off of the object, the Picture tab is then hidden.
To minimize the tabs, complete the following action:
· Click the Customize Quick Access Toolbar button, and then click the Minimize the Ribbon link. – OR – Double-click any tab name.
